Conn Media Center

The Conn Media Center is open 8:45 am to 4:15 pm Monday through Friday when school is in session. Parents are welcome to visit the media center with their children during these hours. We are always available to assist you in finding the information you need – whether it be a website, an award winning picture book or a blog site. Feel free to suggest books, magazines, and other items for possible inclusion in the collection. Please contact us in person or via e-mail.
Our Mission
The mission of the Conn Media and Technology Program is to create a foundation for information literacy and a love for reading and lifelong learning. The Conn Media Center includes the library, adjoining computer lab, and TV studio, where Conn's First News, our student-run news program, airs each morning. Our Media and Technology program works on a flexible schedule. The Media and Technology Team collaborates regularly with classroom teachers to integrate into the curriculum.
Media Center Resources
Our collection includes books, student magazines, videos, and numerous online resources to support the Conn Active Learning and Technology curriculum. All materials are available for student, teacher, and parent use. In addition to the online catalog, Internet access, and online resources including NC WiseOwl and NoveList. These online resources are available for parent, teacher and student use at home through the Internet. If you would like to use these resources at home, please e-mail Ms. McAuley at amcauley@wcpss.net for the Conn passwords.
