Conn's Active Learning & Technology program engages students in hands-on, project-based activities that maximize their level of performance both at school and in the community. Through daily project-based modules, experience using various types of technology and an emphasis on effective communication, our students are better prepared for the future.

Active project-based learning occurs throughout the day integrating traditional core subjects, the arts, and technology. Project-based learning modules enhance hands-on investigation, inquiry learning, research and presentation skills. Every project-based learning module provides students with the opportunity to interact with an expert from the local community either at school or as part of a classroom excursion.

Technology is embedded in all subject areas during the instructional day. Students are regular users of technology and become technically fluent. They discover how to make technology work for optimum learning.

Active Learning and Technology students learn to effectively communicate ideas through a focus on and direct instruction in the art of listening, speaking, writing, presenting, and collaborating. Beginning in Kindergarten, students learn Spanish to better communicate within their local and antional communities and to develop an appreciation of other cultures.

Through community outreach and interaction, students participate in a variety of projects, including sharing the arts within the community.
